The fine print.
The terms that keep CLIQ trustworthy for everyone in it. Plain-spoken where we can be.

1. Acceptance of these terms
By using the CLIQ website or app, or by holding a CLIQ membership, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy policy, which is part of this agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use our services or hold a membership.
These terms apply to every visitor, applicant, and member. Some features or events may carry additional rules; where they do, those rules apply alongside these terms.
2. Membership & eligibility
Membership in CLIQ is free, and is granted by application and approval only — it is not purchased. It is personal to you, non-transferable, and may not be shared, sold, or assigned to anyone else. You must be at least 18 years old to apply or to attend a CLIQ event.
We curate the community carefully, and we may accept or decline any application at our discretion. Approval of one application does not guarantee approval of future ones, and renewal is never automatic in the sense of a right — it is a continuation of a relationship we both choose to keep.
Some members choose to lead a cliq of their own. Leading carries a separate fee, described in Section 4, and is optional — it is not a condition of membership.
3. Code of conduct & discretion
Discretion is the heart of CLIQ. Members agree to respect one another’s privacy at all times. That means:
- No public guest lists, attendance lists, or member directories.
- No recordings, photography, or screenshots of members or events without the explicit consent of everyone involved.
- No sharing of another member’s identity, contact details, or presence outside the community.
We expect members to treat each other with respect and good faith. Conduct that harasses, endangers, or otherwise harms the community — online or in person — may result in suspension or termination of membership.
4. Leader fees & billing
Membership itself carries no fee. Members who choose to lead a cliq pay a leader fee — currently $111 per month, or $999 per year at the founding rate — billed in advance at the start of each leader term. Unless you cancel, your leader plan auto-renews for a further term at the then-current rate, charged to your payment method on file.
Applicable taxes may be added to your fee. The specific amount, billing date, and any add-ons are confirmed before any charge is made. Leaders may choose to charge their own cliq’s members separately; those arrangements are between the leader and their members, and are not billed or collected by CLIQ.
5. Cancellation & refunds
You may leave CLIQ, or step down as a cliq leader, at any time. Leaving as a member carries no charge and needs no refund, since membership itself is free. If you cancel a paid leader plan, your leader access continues through the end of the term you have already paid for, and it will not renew after that.
Leader fees are generally non-refundable, including for partial terms or unused benefits, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
6. Guests
Members may bring guests subject to the guest allowances in effect at the time and to the same code of conduct that applies to members. Guest privileges may vary by membership tier and by event.
You are responsible for your guests — for their conduct, their discretion, and their compliance with these terms while they are with you. A guest’s behavior may affect your standing as a member.
7. Events & venues
CLIQ events are members-only and are subject to capacity limits and to the rules of any partner venues that host them. By attending, you agree to follow those venue rules as well as these terms.
We may change, reschedule, or cancel an event for any reason, including for safety, capacity, or circumstances beyond our control. We will give reasonable notice where we can.
8. Intellectual property
The CLIQ name, logos, marks, designs, and the content we publish are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant members a limited, personal, non-exclusive license to access and enjoy that content for personal, non-commercial use.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or use the CLIQ name, marks, or content for commercial purposes, or in any way that suggests an endorsement or partnership, without our prior written permission.
9. Privacy
We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By applying for or holding a membership, you consent to that handling.
10. Disclaimers & liability
Membership and the perks associated with it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Offerings provided by partners — venues, brands, and other third parties — are the responsibility of those partners, not of CLIQ.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CLIQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
11. Termination
We may suspend or end a membership if a member breaches these terms, engages in conduct that harms the community, or where required by law. Where appropriate, we will explain why.
You may leave CLIQ at any time by cancelling your membership. Some provisions of these terms — such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability — survive the end of a membership by their nature.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date noted above. Your continued use of our services or membership after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
