How it works

How the CLIQ works.

No scrolling through strangers. No “putting yourself out there.” You tell us a little, and the right rooms come to you.

Tell us who you are

A short application — what you’re into, how you spend a good night, what you’re hoping to find.

Get matched into a cliq

We build you a room: a real plan and a few locals chosen to be there. Small enough that everyone actually meets.

Keep your cliq

If the night was good, you keep the room. We surface the next plan, and the next.

End up in a few

Your run cliq, your dinner cliq, whatever you’re into. Different rooms, different people, like real life.

The whole idea, in four parts

How CLIQ thinks about getting you out of the house and into a room that becomes yours.

  • We fix the who

There’s no shortage of things to do. CLIQ handles the part that stops you — who to go with.

  • A cliq, not a crowd

A handful of locals chosen to be in the room with you. Small enough that everyone actually meets.

  • Built for 200 hours

About 200 hours together makes a real friend. We’re built to get you there, one good night at a time.

  • Small on purpose

A cliq stays small enough that everyone actually knows everyone. Some grow big, some stay seven people forever — both are the point.

The room has a few rules. Each one has a reason.

We keep cliqs small.

You don’t make real friends in a crowd. A handful means everyone actually knows everyone — and remembers your name the second time. That’s the design, not a limitation.

Some grow big. Some stay a handful.

Either way, a room only stays a room if it still feels like yours. There’s no cap forcing it shut — just the honest limit of how many people you can actually know.

It’s built around 200 hours.

That’s roughly how long it takes to turn a stranger into a real friend. Most of us never get there as adults — we never make it past the first night. Same people, again and again, is how you do.

Some nights are on us.

Local places and brands want to be in the room with people like you — so now and then they pick up the tab. You get the night; they get the introduction. Membership opens the door; the nights are often on the house.

The rest is just showing up.

A seat is by application. See what membership opens — or request yours.
