Good to know
The basics
Is this… actually a clique?
Call it a cliq. We mean the good kind. It’s small, it’s yours, and you can walk out any time. We just think “a few people who actually show up” deserves a better word than “group.”
What does membership cost?
Founding Circle membership is $999 a year or $111 a month. Every paid seat still requires an application and acceptance. Standard membership after the Founding Circle is $2,999 a year or $333 a month.
How does leading a cliq work?
Leading is included in membership, never a separate purchase. Any member may make the case, another member may put someone forward, and the house taps leads for new tables. Every lead must be approved; acceptance into CLIQ is not automatic approval to lead.
Can I just sign up? Who gets in?
No — you apply, or a member puts you forward, and we decide. An application isn’t an invitation. We accept the best of the city: the hosts, makers, and people a room is simply better for having. The Founding Circle is only 111.
When does it open?
Applications are open now for the Founding Circle. We’re reading them as they arrive; doors open in September.
How do you know who I’d click with?
You tell us a little; we’re good at the rest. The first night’s the real test — if the room’s right, you keep it.
The rooms
How big is a cliq?
It varies. Some stay a handful forever; some grow big. Small is the point either way — it’s how everyone actually knows everyone.
Can I be in more than one?
Of course. Most people end up with a few — different rooms for different parts of you.
What if the one I want is full?
We’ll start one that’s yours. A full room never means you’re left out.
The details
Is it safe to meet people this way?
Everyone’s real and verified, you meet in public, and the room’s small. You’re never walking into a crowd of strangers alone.
Why Austin?
It’s where we start. Your city’s next.
